The Team Behind MOORE LAW
Moore Law was founded by Richard Moore in 2006 with the purpose of providing clients in the West and Central North Island region, professional and honest legal advice. With the ultimate aim of seeing local business and individuals grow and succeed. Since then the Whanganui and Palmerston North based law firm has grown to include Richard’s wife, Dot McKinnon, Rob Moore (Richard’s son), Helen Hale and Kelly Morris, along with a full team of support staff. The Palmerston North firm is headed by Kelly Morris, and supported by Rob Moore and Kelly’s support team, as well as the Whanganui office too.
Today Richard and Rob are joint Partners at Moore Law with Dot being an Associate Legal Executive, a role she fulfills alongside her work for the District Health Boards.
Principal of the firm, Richard Moore, is a “people” person with longstanding ties to both Whanganui and Wellington.
Dot McKinnon joined the team in 2010 after stepping down from 6 years as Deputy Mayor of Whanganui.

Rob is passionate about Whanganui and is involved in a number of charitable and sporting organisations that benefit the greater Whanganui region.
Helen joined Moore Law in 2011 when her family relocated to Whanganui from Manawatu, She belongs to the Whanganui Chamber of Commerce and enjoys supporting Whagnaui businesses and locals through the law.
Kelly is the main point of contact for the Palmerston North office. Manawatu born and bred, she is passionate about the region, and loves getting involved in the community, such as being club captain of the local Kia Toa Netball Club.
